Alaina turned 7 in September. Because of the birth of our twins her birthday party got delayed by about a month....but her actual birthday this year was special, because we were able to celebrate it with her Oma and Opa that came from Germany to stay with us for a few weeks, and help out with the babies.

She also started first grade, even though she wishes she could have skipped a grade. But her teacher is great, and she also likes the Gifted Program she is enrolled in.

To make her first day of Kindergarten special, she wanted to highlight her hair. It took some effort to tame her hair at first, but it turned our very nice and she definitely felt special!

Our 2 1/2 year old son, Landon, is trying to adjust to getting 2 new brothers all at once.

Besides trying our patience, he loves to play outside with his brother and sister.

He also has a "best buddy" that lives on our street, and they love to ride their bikes together.

We decided that it was time for us to explore the exciting world of blogging.

As busy parents of 5 we have limited time to socialize, and we thought this would be a good way to stay in touch with family and friends.

First we would like to introduce our newest additions to our family, our twins, Derek and Benjamin. They were born on September 15 2008.

Derek was born at 14:28 pm and Benjamin followed at 14:34 pm. It was an exciting day for all of us. Derek weighed 5 lbs 7 oz and was 18 inches long. Benjamin weighed 5 lbs 12 oz and was 19 1/2 inches long.
